This Privacy Policy describes how Parent Link collects, uses, and protects information in the Parent Link mobile application (“App”). Parent Link helps parents/guardians view their children’s school information—such as attendance, class-test progress, daily homework diary, and school announcements.

Source of student data. All student records shown in the App are provided and controlled by the respective school. Any corrections or updates to student records are performed by the school administration/ Principal’s office.

1) Information We Collect

A. From the School (account data)

  • Student identifiers (e.g., student ID, admission number)
  • School, class and section, attendance history
  • Assessment/progress data for class tests and activities
  • Homework diary entries and school announcements/events
  • Student profile elements provided by the school (e.g., name, photo URL, guardian names)

B. From the App/Device (technical data)

  • Device information (model, OS version), app version, and basic diagnostics
  • Push notification token (to deliver announcements and alerts)
  • Analytics events (e.g., screens opened, feature usage) — aggregated

We do not collect precise location, contacts, microphone, or camera data.

  • To authenticate parent/guardian access to their student’s records
  • To display attendance, progress, homework, and announcements provided by the school
  • To send push notifications about school events and important updates
  • To maintain security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot issues

We do not sell personal data. We do not use student data for advertising.

The App displays student information to parents/guardians and authorized school staff. Student records (attendance, progress, homework, announcements) originate from the respective school. Requests to correct, update, or delete student data should be addressed to the Principal’s office of the school. We will promptly support the school in applying approved changes within the App.

The mobile App does not use browser cookies. SDKs (e.g., Firebase) may collect device/app identifiers strictly to provide analytics and notifications functionality.
